It was a pleasure to join Footprints Community for their special Homelessness Week In/Visible exhibition showcasing the creative work, voices and stories of older women experiencing housing insecurity and homelessness across Queensland.
Hosted by Footprints Community in collaboration with QUT Design Lab and the QUT Centre for Justice, this research exhibition brings together poetry, photography, drawings and collage developed through creative workshops with older women. Through these works, women share experiences that are often hidden, misunderstood or overlooked, from sleeping in cars to moving between informal arrangements, revealing the uncertainty, stigma and daily effort involved in seeking safety, stability and a place to call home. 🩷🏠🩷
