Still reflecting on the recent Australian Domestic and Family Violence Alliance conference — a space that held both the weight of our work and the strength of our community.
A heartfelt acknowledgement to Sue and Lloyd Clark. You were thrust into the spotlight under unimaginable circumstances, yet you chose to stand, to advocate, and to create change with courage and determination. The tireless work you’ve poured into Small Steps for Hannah Foundation has not gone unnoticed. As you take this step back (but not away), please know this: the sector, the community and all who care and support you……stands with you. We will continue to show up, speak up, and carry this work forward alongside you. Thank you for everything you’ve given.
Congratulations to Carolyn Robinson and the entire team for delivering such a powerful and meaningful conference. Bringing people together in this space is no small feat, and it mattered — deeply.
There is something incredibly important about being able to gather as a sector. To connect, to learn, to share, and just as importantly, to take a moment to breathe. To kick off our shoes, find some joy, and support one another in ways only those who do this work truly understand.
This work is heavy — but together, we make it lighter.
